Robert L. "Rob" Bloom Jr.

Robert L. "Rob" Bloom, Jr. of Farmington departed this life on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at the age of 51 years, 11 months, and 3 days. He was born February 9, 1958, at Festus, son of Shirley (Cooper) Bloom and the late Robert L. Bloom, Sr. He was also preceded in death by a brother, David Edward Bloom. An avid fisherman and hunter, Rob also enjoyed boating. After attending Farmington High School he proudly served his country in the United States Navy where he was assigned to an attack squadron on an aircraft carrier. He later worked as a Aircraft Mechanic. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Bloom, a sister, Cindy Johnston, and a brother, Joseph Bloom all of Farmington; two daughters, Candace and April Bloom of the State of Florida; Rob's special family the Brawleys, Angie, Chelsi, and Cassi; and special granddaughter, Alexys. Two nephews, a niece, other relatives, numerous cousins, and friends also survive. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010. Graveside services will follow at Parkview Cemetery beginning at 2:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Farmington Pet Adoption Center.
