Robert James "Jim" Killian

August 28, 1953 — March 6, 2018

FARMINGTON Robert James "Jim" Killian of Farmington, passed away peacefully at home on March 6, 2018 after a lengthy illness at the age of 64. He was born in Bonne Terre on August 28, 1953 to the late Robert and Norma Ruth (Pritchett) Killian.

Jim was a life long resident of the Mineral Area. He was employed with Mineral Area College as a General Service Supervisor until his health forced him to retire. An avid coon hunter, Jim loved the outdoors and was a woodsman at heart. For quite some time he trained and sold coon dogs and also trained people to coon hunt. He was a family man who loved his family and his grandchildren. He looked forward to family game night every other Saturday night. The ultimate "tease", he was always up to some type of prank. Easter was his favorite holiday and he looked forward to participating in an egg dying contest each year.

Survivors include the love of his life, his wife of 35 years, Paulette (Menge) Killian; his children, Rachel (Jon) Crites and Lance (Christy) Kiepe; his grandchildren, Logan, Layton and Torie; brothers, Fred (Sandy) Killian, John (Renee) Killian, George (Karen) Killian, Jesse Killian and Tracey Killian, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and close friends.

Friends and family may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 5 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice Care. View the tribute video and share your memories and condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
