Robert J. Casey of Farmington, MO passed away on Veterans Day, November 11, 2019 at his home. His wife, Jan Mahannah and Heart and Soul Hospice were at his side. He was born March 31, 1935 in New Brunswick, New Jersey to John Casey and Elizabeth (Panca) Casey and was 84. Robert was an Army Veteran, having served in Korea in 1956-57. Professionally he worked for Parker Hannifen Corporation in New Jersey and was later transferred as Plant Manager to Louisiana where he established a manufacturing plant in Sulfur, LA. In addition to his professional life, he volunteered in outreach for the Catholic Church in Baker, LA, assisted events for Special Olympics, worked with Food For the Poor, and was passionate about uplifting the spirit of others by making them laugh with corny jokes or with quiet caring. After his marriage to Jan, a Unity Minister for Unity Christ Church, Baton Rouge, LA, they moved to Farmington where Robert assisted her in hosting small group spiritual retreats in their home, was supportive of her ministerial work at Unity Christ Center, Farmington, and continued doing outreach with St. Joseph Catholic Church. His byline was always "Love you and keep you in my prayers." Robert is survived by his wife, Jan Mahannah, his children, Robert A. Casey and wife Emily; Cynthia A. Zimmelman and husband, Rob; Kathleen E. Finnegan and husband Jim; Mary H. Miller and husband John; Colleen J. Wournell and husband Dean; adopted daughter Leticha Caswell, stepson, Frank Joe Moskus and wife Penny; his 14 talented grandchildren, and his many friends. Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Casey Regan, father, John Casey, beloved brother, Mickey Casey, and Helen Casey, mother of his children. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 1:00pm at Cozean Memorial Chapel.
