FARMINGTON - Robert Donald McMillin of Knob Lick, passed away September 30, 2023 at his home at the age of 94. He was born November 7, 1928, in Knob Lick to the late Fred McMillin and Verna Marie (Sturgeon) McMillin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet McMillin; two grandsons, James Tyler Skinner and Derek DeBlase and all of his siblings. "Tuff", as many called him, was raised in Knob Lick and was proud to say he was one of the last of the original Knob Lick residents. He proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Air Force in Iwo Jima. After his stint in the military, he returned to his home in Knob Lick. He made a career as a truck driver for Yellow Freight Transit. After many years of driving, he retired and enjoyed farming and raising cattle. He loved life and had a real knack for telling great stories about his childhood, his beloved mother, his military days and trucking days. Tuff loved his two dogs, Buttons and Muttons. Survivors include two daughters, Joy (Vincent, Jr.) DeBlase, Sally (Barry) Humphries, a son, Bobby (Bobbi) McMillin; step-daughters, Jolleen (Bruce) Comnick, Amy Quinton and step-son Bill (Kelly) Hay; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
