Bob worked for St. Joe Lead Company for 42 years as a land surveyor. Bob volunteered for Meals on Wheels and St.Vincent de Paul for over 20 years and enjoyed many years of visiting older (and sometimes younger) residents in Lead Belt area nursing homes. He was an animal lover, enjoyed reading, watching the news and spending time with friends and family and his kitten Tippy. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Goforth, his long-time partner, Bea Cauley, his brother James Dowd and his parents Agnes (Hoaglund) Dowd and Edward Dowd.
