Rickey Wayne Crabdree

IMPERIAL, MISSOURI Rickey Wayne "Rick" Crabdree of Imperial and formerly of Doe Run, passed away August 18, 2021, in his home at the age of 76. He was born April 2, 1945, in Ironton, Missouri to the late Alvin Farrell Crabdree and Stella Louise (LaComb) Crabdree. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Crabdree, a sister, Carol Hassell, his father-in-law, Conrad Weier and a grandson, Jacob Blum. Rick attended Doe Run schools where he graduated in 1963. Soon after high school he joined the U. S. Navy and proudly served his country serving in Vietnam. After three years in the military, he was honorably discharged in 1968. Rick worked in construction from a young age receiving his Labor Local 110 union card at the age of 16. He went on to have a long, successful career in the asphalt business. He worked as a general supervisor for Asphaltic Concrete Corporation and after a 50-year career in the industry he retired from Fred Weber Construction. Currently Rick was owner of Crabbys Stump Removal Service. He was a Shriner and member of the Scottish Rite in St. Louis. Rick was always industrious and a hard worker but when he took time for recreation, he liked fishing and hunting. He was an avid animal lover who had many beloved pets during his lifetime. He will be remembered as a strong willed and independent person but at the same time a compassionate, caring, kind and supportive man. Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Victoria (Weier) Crabdree; his son, Rickey (Terri) Crabdree, Jr.; a brother, Reggie (Linda) Crabdree; sisters, Donna (Tim) Holthaus and Diane (Jim) Slough; a granddaughter, Sarah Blum; his mother-in-law, Jacqueline Weier; sisters-in-law, Debby (Steve) Moyer and Linda (Bob) Bonnarens; a brother-in-law, Conrad Weier; eight nieces and nephews, Bryan Crabdree, Stella Crabdree Hubbard, Terry Crabdree, Chrissy Crabdree Wilson, Cary Holthaus Honerkamp, Ashley Holthaus Midget, April Bonnarens Smith and Bobby Bonnarens. Visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 5 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. with Reverend Fred Killian officiating. Interment will follow at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery with military honors. Memorials, if desired, may be made in Rickeys name to Shriners Hospital for Children or to Open Door Animal Shelter at House Springs.
