Richard "Scottie" Scott

Richard Paul "Scottie" Scott passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center at the age of 59 years. He was born on Thursday, February 10, 1949, at Richmond Heights, MO, the son of the late Lloyd Paul and Dorothy Ann (Schenck) Scott. Mr. Scott proudly served his country with two tours of duty in Vietnam with the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division. He was a member of VFW Post #6883 in Bonne Terre where he was currently serving as the Second Vice Commander. Surviving are his Wife, Vonda A.(Chappius) Scott; Daughters, JoAnn Marie Scott and Jamie Lee Scott and Granddaughter, Emily Taylor Scott, all of Ste. Genevieve, and a Brother, Raymond Lee Scott of Union, MO. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2008. A Prayer Service will be at 6 that evening with a VFW Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume at 7 a.m. on Friday, February 29, followed by the funeral service at the Cozean Chapel at 10 a.m. with Dr. William Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis. Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post # 6883 for the aide of Veterans.
