Richard Hannah

Richard "Rick" Hannah, Sr., of Arcadia passed away in his home surrounded by his wife and children on September 8, 2015 at the age of 57. He was born September 25, 1957 in East Prairie to Raymond Hannah and the late Wanda Hannah. On February 8, 1985 he married Janice Gann, who survives and he is also survived by his children, Richard Hannah, Jr. and wife, Leah, Zachery Weiss and wife, Cindi, Cheryl Hannah and Felicia Svaty and husband, Tom; fourteen grandchildren, Harper, Lola, Emma, Caleb, Lilie, Venice, Naomi, Sterling, Aubrey, Mariah, Jordan, Elizabeth, Olivia and Trina; one great granddaughter, Danielle; two brothers, Gene (Vicki) Hannah and Roger (Tracie) Hannah; one sister, Debbie (Scott) Smith; his father, Rev. Raymond Hannah. Also surviving are his two special friends, Lonnie Thorn and brother-in-law, Jimmie Gann, Jr. Rick was a most treasured husband, loving father and adoring "pawpaw" as well as a trusting friend. He cherished every moment spent with his family - his loves! He was a resident of Arcadia and worked in maintenance and heavy equipment for the State of Missouri until his retirement in 2014. Rick will be remembered by many as an accomplished cook and enjoying his side business as a concessionaire. A kid at heart, Rick loved playing practical jokes and making people laugh. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Thursday, September 10 from 6 - 9 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m. with Jimmie Gann officiating. Interment will follow at Mayberry Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Rick's name to Serenity Hospice Care.
