Reverend Milford Gibbs, Jr.

BONNE TERRE Rev. Milford Gibbs, Jr, of Bonne Terre, passed away October 30, 2018 at Mercy Festus at the age of 63. He was born in Rochester, New York on October 13, 1955. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milford Howard Gibbs, Sr. and Mary Jane (Hansen) Gibbs. Reverend Gibbs had his Masters in Divinity and had been in the ministry for many years. He loved Jesus and enjoyed acting in skits for the Childrens Ministry at the Bridge Community Church. He had also developed a passion for cooking and enjoyed the Food Network. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Gibbs; sons, Joseph Gibbs and Chris Gibbs; granddaughters, Ava and Lilly Gibbs; sister Jane Adams; niece, Christina Moore; nephew, Scott Adams; great niece, Mackenna Moore; brother-in-law, Jim Joggerst and wife, Pam. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 5 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Bridge Community Church followed by the Funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ben Durbin officiating. Burial will be at Bonne Terre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
