STE GENEVIEVE Phyllis May Hamilton of Ste. Genevieve, passed away on January 11, 2021 at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital at the age of 72. She was born in Farmington on December 28, 1948. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip Thomure and Margie (Tinker) Sales, her children, Thea and Mickey, her former husband, Michael Hamilton and her special dog, Sassy. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Michelle "Michee" (and husband Shannon) Meyer of Ste. Genevieve, her grandchildren, Shannon (and wife Courtney) Meyer and Gabriel Meyer, her great grandchildren, Sawyer Michelle and William Lee Lewis, her siblings, Robert (and wife Jeanette) Thomure of Ste. Genevieve and Peggy (and husband Alan) Crump of Ste. Genevieve, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Phyllis was employed at Chrysler Corporation for over fifteen years. She also worked as a special education teacher for the Ste. Genevieve School District and worked for the State School for special needs children as a special education teacher's aide and the Ste. Genevieve group home for adults until retirement. She loved the children and adults she served. She loved gardening and was a collector of all things she loved but most of all enjoyed spending time with her grand kids and great grand babies. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 1:00pm at First Baptist Church of Ste Genevieve, 101 Basler Drive, Ste. Genevieve, MO 63670. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to the First Baptist Church of Ste. Genevieve at the above mentioned address.
