Pete Jensen of Knob Lick passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, at his residence at the age of 73 years, surrounded by those who loved and cared for him. He was born on October 11, 1933, in Knob Lick, the son of the late Roy and Rachel (Murphy) Jensen. He was also preceded in death by a son, Mike Jensen. Mr. Jensen proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He was a member of Teamsters Local 600 and 574. Before retiring, Mr. Jensen was employed with the Farmington R-7 School District as a bus driver. He spent most of his life farming with his father and devotedly caring for his family and the children on the school bus he proudly drove for 14 years. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Connie (Hubbard) Jensen, four sons, James Wooldridge of Festus, Jerry Wooldridge (Jackie) of Patterson, Robert Wooldridge of Columbia, John Wooldridge (Tami) of Knob Lick, a daughter, Jeani Roberts (J. C.) of Knob Lick, six grandchildren, Christy, Andrea, Christopher, Kiersten, Tori and Brady, and five great-grandchildren, Natalie, Jaden, Kyleigh, Zachary and Logan. Numerous other friends and relatives also survive. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2007. Visitation will resume at 7:30 a.m. on Friday. A funeral service will be held on Friday at the Cozean Chapel at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Ralph Burris officiating. Burial will follow at Knob Lick Cemetery.
