Peggy Michelle "Shelly" Thomas

Peggy Michelle "Shelly" Thomas passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at the age of 43. She was born on March 22, 1969, at Fredericktown, daughter of Tommy Dean Thomas and Nancy Elizabeth (Ragsdale) Thomas. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Melvin and Lola Ragsdale and Elmo and Virginia Thomas. Shelly went to school at North County High School where she was an honor roll student and the head of the Pommies. She graduated from there in 1987 and went on to college at MAC and then to the University of Missouri at St. Louis. She had a dual major of Psychology and Business and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree. She was employed in St. Charles County as a Probation and Parole Officer. She enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially spending time on her granddad's farm and fishing. She was especially fond of her two cats, Pooh and Fluffy. Shelly's genuine and gentle spirit will live on in all those who knew and loved her. Survivors include her mother, Nancy; her father and step-mother, Tommy and Bev; the love of her life, her fiance, Tom Baker; a special cousin, Gregg Nations; and a host of numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Thursday, March 14 from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the service beginning at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with the Reverend Wayne Phillips officiating.
