PEGGY JUNE ALVERS

ANNAPOLIS Peggy June (Bailey) Alvers, of Annapolis passed away November 24, 2017 at her home at the age of 89. She was born in Mt. Vernon, Indiana on January 27, 1928 to the late Everett Edward Bailey, Sr. and Agnes Grace (Springman) Bailey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five sisters, Nellie Topper, Emilie Heseman, Marcella Gaiser, Dorothy Roby and Thomasena "Mickey" Schwartz; three brothers, Everett Bailey, Jr., James Bailey and Thomas "Hunker" Bailey; and a granddaughter, Lori Marie Crocker Helms.

Peggy loved animals, the outdoors, gardening, and was an avid reader. She loved doing pedigree research on purebred dogs for people all over the country and continued to do so until very recently. She was a generous, kind and loving person who never met a stranger. She always had interesting stories to share about her past.

Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Carl W. Alvers, Sr. who she married on September 8, 1946; three children, Carl, Jr. and wife, Linda Alvers, Richard and wife, Betty Alvers and Retha and husband, Roger Crocker; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
