Pauline Ruble Raney of Farmington passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013, at the age of 94. She was born on February 14, 1919, at Brunot, Missouri the daughter of the late Oscar and Lissie (Davis) King. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Olin Ruble in 1976. She was remarried to Vince Raney who also preceded her in death. In addition, Pauline was predeceased by her son, Michael Ruble, and nine brothers and sisters. Pauline was one of twelve children growing up on a farm in Brunot, Missouri and spent most of her adult life living on a farm just north of Des Arc. In later years she resided in Poplar Bluff and Farmington where she developed many close friendships. She worked alongside her husband on the farm and when he passed away assumed his rural mail route for many years. She enjoyed gardening and won the "garden of the year" award in Poplar Bluff while she resided there. She was an expert seamstress and quilter. Pauline was a wonderful cook and was known for her delicious pies. She was on two bowling leagues and was proud to have bowled over 200. Survivors include her son, Kenneth Ruble of Piedmont; daughter, Sally Ruble Withers of California; two sisters, Frieda Sutton of Imperial and Lois Wallis of Arnold; her daughter-in-law, Vickie Ruble of Salem; five grandchildren, Mark Ruble, Christy Smith, Todd Ruble, all of Piedmont, Matt Ruble of Farmington and Morgan Lucas of Arnold; great-grandchildren Daniel, Tyler, Leslie, Kayla and Braden all of Piedmont; Deyton and Avery of Arnold and Jameson "J.P." of Farmington; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Sunday, October 13 from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Monday morning beginning at 7 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel.
