Pauline Pfeifer

January 16, 1928 — June 30, 2016

Pauline Pfeifer, of Farmington, passed away June 30, 2016 at Camelot Nursing Home at the age of 88 years. She was born in Patton on January 16, 1928 to the late Paul Augusta Overall and Mary Esther Bollinger Overall. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Burton A. Pfeifer, twin daughters, Donna Rae Rariden, Diana Fae (Rariden) Wolfe and a brother PFC Forrest Lee Overall who was killed while serving our country in Korea in 1950.

Pauline belonged to the Delassus Methodist Church where she played the piano until the family moved to the Memorial Methodist Church in Farmington. She graduated from Farmington High School in 1946 and went on to work at the Farmington State Hospital for two years until her daughter's illness. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters as District Chief until the organization closed.

Her family devotedly loved her and will deeply miss her. She leaves behind her daughters, Jhena (Steve) Copeland and Beth Layton; grandchildren, Tammy Isabel and (Annie); Jason Isabel, Cortney Copeland, Katie Copeland, all of Farmington; Allison Layton and Justin Layton both of Ste. Genevieve; son-in-law, Russell Wolfe of the state of South Carolina. She dearly loved her brother-in-law, Norman Pfeifer and his late wife, Wanda, of St. Louis. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, McKienze, Nathaniel, Troy Isabel of Farmington, Myah Harris of Park Hills and two future grandson-in-laws, Nathan Disser of Jackson and Chase Harris of Park Hills.

Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 5 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the funeral at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Interment will follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials if desired, may be made to the American Heart Association.
