Paul William Chilton

FARMINGTON - Paul William "Radar" Chilton, 68, of Farmington passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 24, 2015. He was born in Des Arc, Missouri on April 4, 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents. Radar as everyone knew Paul, was a life long resident of the Farmington area. He was raised by his special aunt and uncle, Betty and Elza Nash, in Iron Mountain Lake. He worked in the car detailing business for more than 45 years having worked at Red Carpet Car Wash among other detailing businesses over the years. More recently he owned his own business in downtown Farmington, Radar's Detail Shop. An avid race car fan, Radar enjoyed watching his son race at St. Francois County Raceway. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. His grandkids were the apple of his eye and he was very proud of them. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Elaine Clayton Chilton; children, David (Mary Jo) Chilton, Michelle (Tom) Cowley and Micheal (Sylvia) Marks; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Brandie, Alexis, Domonick, Hannah and Haylee; one great-granddaughter, Addison; his aunt, Betty Nash; and numerous other extended family. He is also survived by his favorite canine companions, Bear and Maggie. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 5 - 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Tuesday morning at the funeral home until the time of the service beginning at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Louis Nash officiating. Interment will follow at Knob Lick Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Backstoppers.
