Paul Byrd

FREDERICKTOWN - Paul Byrd, of Fredericktown, passed away on February 24, 2021 at his residence at the age of 85. He was born December 2, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his mother, Iona McReynolds; his wife, Kathy E. (Gillen) Byrd and two daughters, Stephanie Kathleen Byrd and Victoria Collins. Paul proudly served his country in the U. S. Army from 1957 to 1960 where he was a Morse Interceptor. He then spent most of his career as a computer programmer. His family was very dear to him and he loved spending time with them. Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth (Byrd) Potts and his son, Andrew Paul Byrd; grandchildren, Sara Benoist, Brady Benoist, Shaun Potts, Westley and Fox Byrd; great grandchildren, Jaysen Benoist, Roman and Savanna Hogan. A celebration of life with Military Honors will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Libertyville Methodist Cemetery near the intersection of Old Jackson and Old Coffman Road.
