FARMINGTON - Paul Andrew Hasse, of Farmington, passed away on January 4, 2024, at his home at the age of 90 with his wife and children at his side. He was born on March 9, 1933, in De Soto, Missouri, to the late Alvin G. and Ada Jane (Page) Hasse. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Warren "Fritz" Hasse, and baby brother, Kenneth, sisters, Alice Willis, Hazel Wisdom, Ruth Hughes, Sharon Osborn, and Priscilla Hulsey. As a teenager, Paul sang bass in a local quartet called the Gospel Melody Boys. He served in the United States Army 1953 - 1955. In 1959, Paul met and married Sue Buckley in southern California and moved back to Missouri in 1966. Paul was a very talented carpenter and wood worker; he could design and make anything. He spent much of his time after retiring working on the farmhouse his grandfather built in 1889 in rural De Soto. He also enjoyed owning and working on old trucks, and talking to people. His greatest love though was for his family. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Sue Hasse; daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Jeff Harris, Julie and John Wunning; grandchildren, Jacob Harris, Leah Harris, and Jamie Wunning; and sister, Naomi Gibbs; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family thanks the nurses and aides for the loving care given to Paul at Parkland Hospital, Southbrook, Presbyterian Manor, and especially Heart and Soul Hospice. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
