Patsy Ruth Cox

Patsy Ruth Cox of Farmington passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at the age of 81 years. She was born on May 4, 1932, at Doe Run, daughter of the late Joseph and Edna Mae (Maness) Wigger. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Cox in 2009; seven sisters, Faye Drake, Georgia VanSickle, Frances Wigger, Mildred Nolan, Mary Lesh, Edna Jennings and Bonnie Baird; her brother, Bud Wigger; and her daughter-in-law, Rhonda Cox. Patsy grew up in Doe Run where she attended school and was an avid volleyball player. After her marriage to Bob Cox they made their home in Doe Run, where they raised their family. She enjoyed going antiquing with family and finding collectibles for her home. Her family meant everything to her and spending time with them was her favorite pastime. Survivors include her three beloved children, Dennis Cox of Farmington, Bobbi (Ed) Donze of St. Louis and Patti (Tom) Tobin of Nixa; her grandchildren, Matthew (Jodie) Donze, Kyle (Lori) Cox, Adam (Katie) Donze, Andrea Alcorn (Clay Longwell) and Michael (Jessica) Tobin; great-grandchildren, Eva Cox, Emma Donze, Anna Cox, Madison Donze and "soon to be born" Claire Donze; a brother, Melvin "Pete" Wigger of Farmington; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Monday, February 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. followed by a memorial service beginning at 2 with Dr. Noel Stephens officiating.
