Patricia Murphy

FARMINGTON - Patricia Ann Murphy of Farmington passed away at home on Sunday, October 18, 2015 under the loving care of her family. She was born on August 7, 1937 at Fredericktown daughter of the late Joe E. and Dorothy V. (Polete) Martin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband E. Lloyd Murphy, and two grandsons, Justin A. Hartupee and Chris "Harpo" Hartupee. Patricia was a life-long resident of the area. She was retired from the Southeast Mental Health Center where she had worked for many years as a beautician, an occupation that she truly enjoyed and one for which she was passionate. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling and particularly shopping at yard sales. She was a long-time and faithful member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Farmington. She is survived by her children, Micheal Chester, Jayne Voyles and Deana (& Keith) Foreman; Step-children, Conie (& Danny) Bell, Stanley (& Vicki) Murphy, Cheryl (& Victor) Perez, Carrie Murphy and her companion, Al, and Jackie (& Miguel) Perez; a sister Margaret (& Bill) Oder, two brothers, Ivan (& Brenda) Martin and Dean (& Paula) Martin; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous extended family and many good friends and neighbors. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 5p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday beginning at 7 a.m. and continue until the service at 11 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with her nephew, the Reverend Dr. Robert Martin officiating. Interment will be at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington. Memorials if desired, may be made to any charitable organization of the donor's choosing.
