FARMINGTON - Patricia Ann Cavanaugh of Farmington, passed away on November 14, 2021 at Jefferson Mercy in Festus at the age of 86. She was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on July 24, 1935 to the late Edwin Henry Dulle and Margaret Ann (Ehler) Dulle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Cavanaugh and her brother, Donald Dulle. Patricia graduated from St. Peters High School in Jefferson City, Missouri. She then went on to Lincoln University to pursue her interest in art. While attending college she started her first job working at the library in Jefferson City. She enjoyed working there because she loved reading and learning. While working at the library she also was the star of an afternoon childrens TV show on KRCG in Jefferson City. The TV show was called "Pat and Mike". She went on to become a tole painter and had people from as far as California and Florida who came to buy her paintings at craft shows. In February 1988 she began working at Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center in Farmington where she later retired at the age of 75, after 21 years there. Besides being a wonderful mom and grandma she was smart, funny, strong, caring and beautiful. She loved to read, learn and paint but her very favorite thing to do was spend time with her family. We cannot imagine life without her. We all loved her very much and she will be missed and will forever be in our hearts. Patricia is survived by her sons, Kevin (Lora) Cavanaugh of Farmington and Christopher (Gwen Lambert) Cavanaugh of Farmington; her daughters, Kelly (Mark) Richardt of Farmington and Tracy (Ronald) Benson of Farmington, her four grandchildren, Scott Richardt of St. Louis, Travis (Kaiti) Richardt of Ballwin, Kelsey Richardt of Farmington and Christopher Curtis Cavanaugh of Nixa, her three great grandchildren, Kaylee Richardt, Miles Richardt and Logan Richardt, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Monday, November 22, 2021 beginning at 12 noon until the service at 2 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Due to the Pandemic, Masks are required at the visitation and service. Memorials, if desired, may be made to MCCA (Midwest Community Cat Alliance) at P. O. Box 1400, Farmington, Missouri 63640.
