FARMINGTON - Pamela Georgina Alicia Cagle of Farmington, passed away, Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the Presbyterian Manor at the age of 90 years. She was born June 5, 1924 in London, England daughter of the late Percy Walter and Alicia Isabel (Smith) Davis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Cedric Cagle. Mrs. Cagle was educated in England, attending boarding school and later attending the Pittman College at Wimbledon, England. She was employed as a secretary at General Eisenhower's headquarters in Germany during WWII. Following the war years she relocated to Geneva, Switzerland where she was employed as a secretary with the United Nations offices there. She immigrated to the United States in 1956 and on October 28, 1957 she was married to Carl Cedric Cagle at Oak Park, IL. The couple made their home in the Chicago area where she was employed as a secretary with the First National Bank of Chicago and from where she later retired. Pamela moved to Farmington to be closer to family. She was a long-time and faithful member of the All Saints Episcopal Church of Farmington She is survived by a brother Rex P.C. Davis and wife Sheila of Llandefalle Brecon, Wales, a niece Amanda (Mrs. Pete) Waller, great-nephews Jacob and Thomas Waller, great-niece Ellena Waller all of Surrey, England, a nephew Bruce Davis of Thailand, and several nieces and nephews by marriage in the U.S.A. Memorial services for Mrs. Cagle will be held at the All Saints Episcopal Church of Farmington on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 3:30 p.m.. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the McGinnis Cemetery at Anna, Illinois on Friday, November 7 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at Presbyterian Manor.
