Orville Eugene Blue Miller of Ste. Genevieve passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2010, at the age of 83 years. He was born on December 20, 1926, at Flat River, the son of the late Verna (Frye) and Theodore Miller. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Jean Lunsford, and an infant brother. Mr. Miller was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Farmington. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy in World War II and the Korean War. Before retirement, he worked as a ward attendant at Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center. Mr. Miller was a member of the VFW Post 5896, American Legion Post 416 and Amvets Post 113, all of Farmington. Orville Blue was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Chirley (Schramm) Miller, three sons, Mr. and Mrs. David Miller of Ste. Genevieve, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Miller of Farmington, and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Miller of Perryville, a daughter, Cheryl Traber of Houston, TX, 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. A graveside service with Full Military Honors will be held at 1 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 with Pastor James King officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cozean Memorial Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
