Oma M. Leslie of Farmington passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2010, at the age of 98 years. She was born on July 30, 1912, in Rippey, Iowa, to the late Cecil (Kiever) and Charles McGee. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edgar A. Leslie, a brother, Leroy McGee, and two sisters, Opal Burton and Glee Burks. Oma was a telephone switchboard operator from 1927 to 1932 in Harrisonville, MO. In October 1932, she married Edgar in Olathe, KS and became a homemaker. She enjoyed taking fishing trips with her husband and was accomplished at crocheting and needlepoint. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her two sons, Jerome Jerry Leslie (Shirley) of Farmington, and Charles Ed Leslie (Wendy) of Marshall, MO, two grandsons, Dwayne Leslie (Kari) and John Leslie, six granddaughters, Melinda Brown (John), Amanda Schulte (Adam), Joy Leslie, Julie Steffens (Brian), Kristi Dodson (Phillip), and Kari Woodruff (Russ), five great-granddaughters, Lindsay Brown, Madison Brown, Megan Steffens, Kristin Steffens and Kylie Steffens. Several nieces, nephews, and friends also survive. The family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 10 to 11a.m. On Wednesday, October 27, 2010. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the Cozean Chapel. Interment will be at 2:15 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
