FARMINGTON Norman "Gene" Eugene Kleinsorge, of Ballwin, formerly of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on February 4, 2022, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 76. He was born on August 2, 1945, in St. Louis to the late Norman Wesley Kleinsorge and Helen (McGeorge) Kleinsorge Younger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Roberta Campbell and Carol Brewer. Norman is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kathy (Goodson) Kleinsorge of Ballwin, his daughters, Kimberly (Frank Schillace) Kleinsorge of Boston, MA, and Christina (Matthew) Rariden of Ste. Genevieve County, his grandchildren, Lydia, Wade, Clare, and Elio, his sister, Darlene Utenage, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his special cat, Kennedy. Norman proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was a member of the Walter Le Pere American Legion Post #208 in Manchester. He enjoyed camping, going to the river, fishing, and quail hunting. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 4:00pm until time of service at 7:00pm at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Interment with full military honors will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 10:30am at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
