Nora Evelyn Plummer

Nora Evelyn Plummer (nee Martin) of Knob Lick passed away at her home on August 20, 2012 at the age of 100 years and 9 months. She was the daughter of the late Sylveter and Margaret Elizabeth Martin. In addition to her parents Mrs. Plummer was preceded in death by her husband Lester Plummer who passed away August 19, 2010 at the age of one hundred years. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters and a grandson-in-law. Mrs. Plummer in her earlier years, was very active in the Knob Lick Church of God where she taught Sunday School for many years and participated in leading the youth activities. She took an active role in the Knob Lick School where she served as room mother and worked actively in the school events. She was a charter member of the Friendly Folks Club of Knob Lick always working fot eh betterment of the community.; She lived a very productive life. Mrs. Plummer took great interest in her family's accomplishments and loved to have them with her. Survivors include her two loving sons and daughters-in-law, James and Delories Plummer and Darrell and Rose Marie Plummer, all of Farmington. Also mourning her death are her five cherished grandchildren, Kimberly Krull of Kirkwood, MO, Melody Driskill of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, Randy Plummer of Branson, MO, Melinda Marquart of Wildwood, MO and Scott Plummer of Farmington. Seven great-grandchildren also survive. She also leaves behind her long-time care givers as well as a large circle of friends of all ages. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, August 24 at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning beginning at 8 a.m. followed by the service at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Reverend Donn Adamson and Reverend David Bates officiating. Burial will follow in the Knob Lick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to Serenity Hospice Care.
