Nancy Harriet Halbrook, formerly of Farmington, passed away from complications of a stroke on February 2, 2025, at the age of 75 in Rolla, Missouri. She was born on May 23, 1949, in Bonne Terre, Missouri to the late Leeman “Cliff” and Mary Ellen (Williams) Halbrook.
Nancy graduated from Farmington High School and went on to work for more than 25 years at the Sheltered Workshop. Nancy treasured her friendships there and looked back fondly on her memories there.
Nancy was known for her love of spicy food, which knew no limits! She excelled at needlepoint. She was a voracious reader and was fascinated with historical fiction, (especially the Civil War era), but also studied her Sunday School lessons consistently. Her weekly trip to the beauty shop brought her great joy later in life, as did Hallmark movies!
Nancy is survived by her brother Larry (Kathy) Halbrook, sister Jo Anne Mihlfeld, and sister-in-law Cindy Halbrook as well as nieces Angela (Larry) Finley, Laura Halbrook, Julie (Rusty) Ashby, Sarah (Kyle) Seisinger, Hannah (Joshua) Housewright, and nephews Jacob (Shay) Mihlfeld and Larry Halbrook Jr. as well as many great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Leeman “Cliff” and Mary Ellen (Williams) Halbrook; and brother Jeffrey “Lynn” Halbrook. We know that their reunions will be sweet!
