Myrtle Arlene Woods

FARMINGTON Myrtle "Dene" Arlene Woods, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on January 30, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 81. She was born in Womack, Missouri, on April 28, 1941, to the late Thomas and Goldie (Crites) Harris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Raymond Hubbard, her siblings, Freeman (the late Ruth Ann) Harris, Freda Cade, Ray (the late Paula) Harris, Harry Harris, and Tony (the late Sheila) Harris. Dene is survived by her daughters, Cynthia (Brian) Pogue and Angela (Edgar) Politte, her grandchildren, Matthew Woods and Taylor Politte, great grandchildren, Annalisa and Madison Woods, her siblings, Roy (Evelyn) Harris and Karen Harris, her sister-in-law, Rita Harris, her brother-in-law, Ben Cade, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Dene retired from the Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center after 27 years of service. She was a faithful Christian who was devoted to her family and always worked hard to provide for them. She enjoyed game shows, yard sales, music, and dancing. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel officiated by Walter Barron. A fellowship dinner will immediately follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 709 South Henry Street, Farmington. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to Hillview Memorial Gardens to assist the family with the purchase of a headstone.
