Mildred "Millie" Marie Hopkins of Farmington passed away on Friday, May 7, 2010, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center at the age of 94 years. She was born on September 11, 1915, at Morrisonville, IL, daughter of the late Jess Andrew and Grace (Evans) Hinton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, William F. Hopkins, and two sisters, Mabel and Mary. Mrs. Hopkins was a longtime member of First Assembly of God of Farmington. Mildred volunteered as a gift shop clerk at Parkland Hospital. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, reading and gardening. Survivors include a son, Lowell Parker and his wife Betsy of Louisville, KY; a sister, Margie (Mrs. Roy) Stefl of Lebanon, MO; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 14 at 9 a.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel followed by a service beginning at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Hugh Cerutti officiating. Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis later in the day beginning at 2:15 pm. Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church of Farmington.
