Mildred Marie Eaton

FARMINGTON On Saturday, June 25, 2016, Mildred Marie "Millie" Eaton passed into the arms of her Savior at Jefferson Mercy Hospital in Festus, Missouri, at the age of 97 years. She was born on November 19, 1918 at Bismarck, Missouri daughter of the late Marion Arthur and Ida Mae (Ford) Hughes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Eaton, daughter, Marilyn Duncan, grandson, Jeffrey Griffin, granddaughter, Krista Eaton, daughters-in-law, Carol Eaton, Janet Eaton, and Connie Pinkston; six brothers, Everett, Paul, Marion, James, Orville, and Clifford, and four sisters, Verline, Laura, Termella and Dorothy.

A life long resident of the area, Miss Millie, as she was affectionately known, was a 1937 graduate of the Doe Run High School. She retired from Trimfoot Company and then worked an additional 25 years for the Farmington Public Library, retiring in 2013. For many years, she went to auctions in the area and sold her treasures at her booth in the Factory. She was passionate about books and St. Louis Cardinals Baseball.

Survivors include her children, Frank (&Katie) Eaton Sr., Robert Eaton, Jessie (& James) Cook, Dennis Eaton, and David (& Ellen) Eaton, nineteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends and neighbors.

Friends may call on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 beginning at 7 a.m at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with the Reverends Thom Reagan and Gary Hall officiating. Interment will follow at the Masonic Cemetery in Bismarck, Missouri.
