Mickiel Mullinax

Mickiel G. Mullinax of Doe Run passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at the age of 50. He was born on February 17, 1964, at Doe Run, MO, son of the late David Potolmny Mullinax and Erma Gail (Roberts) Mullinax, who survives. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Ann Mullinax, and brothers, Ronald Dale Mullinax and David Kenneth "Kenny" Mullinax. Mickiel will be most remembered as "Good Morning Mike". This was a name used frequently by most who knew him. A graduate of Farmington High School, Mike went on to graduate from college with a Bachelor's Degree. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy from 1983 to 1987 and was stationed on the USS Kittyhawk. More recently he was employed with the Family Farm Store in Farmington where he had worked for seven years. Mickiel will be remembered as a very giving person who was always there for his friends and family. Survivors in addition to his mother, include his loving fiance, Denise; her children who Mickiel loved as his own, Melanie, Christopher, Alex and Brittany; three beloved sisters, Betty Lenneman, Caroline Burke and Linda Spencer; and two brothers, Richard Mullinax and Jerry Mullinax; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Also surviving are many friends from the Doe Run community. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26 at 1 p.m. at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Doe Run with Brother Larry Tinnin officiating.
