Michael Wayne Archer

Michael "Mike" Wayne Archer of Farmington passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012, at the age of 51. He was born on November 29, 1960, the son of the late Carl Wayne Archer and Martha Ann (Storey) Archer who survives. Mike grew up in Bonne Terre and graduated from North County High School in 1979. He went on to Missouri University where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Mike had been employed for many years with Division of Family Services for the State of Missouri. He will be remembered as an avid hunter and one who enjoyed watching the Cardinals and the Rams. Survivors in addition to his mother, Martha, include his oldest son, Derek Michael Archer and wife, Candice; his younger son, Blake Connor Archer; his soul mate, fiance, Julie Matthiesen; Julie's two daughters, Haley and Taylor; a grandchild who is on the way; and one brother, Keith Archer. Also surviving is his canine companion, Dixie. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Tuesday, November 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Wednesday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the funeral at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel.
