Michael Toombs

FARMINGTON - Michael Wayne Toombs of Farmington passed away January 25, 2022 at his home at the age of 48. He was born in Sikeston, Missouri on May 30 1973 to Linda Toombs and the late Claude Wayne Toombs. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his grandmother who raised him, Thelma Louise Toombs. Michael was a person who never met a stranger and who made friends easily. He loved to laugh and joke with friends and family. When the weather was nice you could often find him barbequing. He also loved to cook and those who knew him would say he was a very good cook. Michael will be most remembered for his efforts to help out friends and neighbors whenever he could. He was a wonderful husband to his wife, Joyce and pampered her every day. Survivors include his loving wife, Joyce; his mother, Linda; a son, Nathaniel; four grandchildren; his sister, Tracy Williams and his special aunt, Brenda Oglesby and a host of good friends. Visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Friday, January 28, 2022 beginning at 4 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 5 p.m. with Pastor Troy Coke officiating.
