Melissa 'Missy' Luttig

DOE RUN - Melissa "Missy" Luttig, of Doe Run, passed away suddenly on May 15, 2023, at her home at the age of 41. She was born August 12, 1981 in Fredericktown, Missouri to James Lee and Eleanor (Mayberry) Johnston who survive. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jasmine Shurtliff and an infant brother, James Earl Eugene Lee. Missy was a fun loving person who enjoyed her job as a DJ and doing Karaoke. She also loved to draw, fish and swim. She was a devoted mom who enjoyed spending time with her kids. Survivors include her children, Anthony Lee, Christopher Hartmann, Joshua Hartmann, Leynna Lee, Destiney Shurtliff and Lester Connell. Also surviving are many siblings including special close siblings, Robert, B.J., Debbie, James, Mary, Kenny, and Teddy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her special canine companions, Peanut and Gizmo. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Cozean Memorial Chapel beginning at 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment will be held at Cove Cemetery in Arcadia after the service.
