FARMINGTON - Melanie Diane Cole, of Farmington, passed away June 13, 2021 in her home at the age of 64. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Walter Knox and Marie Alberta (Thompson) Pate. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Shawn Moss. Melanie had worked in the Residential Care and Assisted Living industries for a good part of her adult life. Currently, she was employed at Heritage Hills Assisted Living in Patton, Missouri. She was well suited for working in residential care as she was a very loving and caring person. She loved her family and her patients, as well. For recreation Melanie enjoyed going to the casinos, cruise vacations, Bingo and going yard saling and thrift store shopping with her good friend, Ruth. She is survivied by her loving husband of 23 years, Daniel Cole; her sister, Karla (Mrs. John) Blackwell; two grandchildren, Justin and Charles Moss; great grandsons, Adam and Keagan; niece and nephew, Kayla dn Brandon and great niece and nephew, Zoey Pate and Zachary Pate. She also leaves behind her adoring dogs and cat, Chip, Reggie, Tinker Bell, Molly and Sammy. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Cozean Memorial Chapel at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be accepted to help defray the costs of the final expenses.
