Maurice Harrington

FARMINGTON Maurice Irvin Harrington, 89, passed away July 21, 2017 at Parkland Health Center South in Farmington. He was born on November 19, 1927 near Farmington son of the late Irvin Lee and Emma (Wiles) Harrington. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Doris Urick and a brother Walter Harrington.

Maurice lived his entire life in the Farmington area and was a long-time and well known businessman and entrepreneur in the community. He was the former owner and operator of Mid-States Laundry and Cleaners for over twenty years and served on the Farmington City Council for a number of years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and at the time of his passing was the last Charter Member of the Farmington Lion's Club.

He is survived by his wife Clarann (Westmeyer) Harrington of Farmington, two children, Mike (& Karen) Harrington of Farmington and Mary (& Miles) Agee of St. Louis, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a sister Eva Lou Propst of Farmington, a brother Larry Harrington of Aiken, South Carolina and his niece Claudia VarVera of Farmington.

Private graveside services were held today, Monday, July 24, 2017 at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
