Mary Sue Rector

FARMINGTON - Mary Sue Rector, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on June 13, 2022, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 59. She was born in Bonne Terre on April 26, 1963 to the late Delmar Lee Rector, Sr. and Barbara Jean (Miller) Rector. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Justin Dewayne Rector; a brother, Richard Lynn Rector; a nephew, Christopher Lee Rector and good friend, Sue Gregory. Mary was a long-time member of Solid Rock Fellowship Church and was a part of the MARMC family for many years. She was a person who always demonstrated such care and compassion and she lived her life to serve her Lord Jesus Christ. She was always smiling and laughing and displaying great humbleness and faithfulness. Many lives of those who crossed paths with Mary, have surely been greatly impacted by her. She was one of a kind and though she is gone, she will not be forgotten. Survivors include her son, Derek (Ashley) Rector; grandchildren, Rylee Rector, Aubrey Rector, Lanah Perry, Lil Derek Rector and Chase Rector; five brothers, Jerry (Pam) Rector, Alvin (Rose) Rector, Randy (Bev) Rector, Steven Rector and Delmar (Maria) Rector; five sisters, Vicky Zahn, Brenda (Paul) Stone, Tammy (Warren) Rector, Debbie (Doug) Skaggs and Kelly Schmid; dear and close friends, Pastors Darryl and Darlene Rhodes, a/k/a Papa and Bella and her little buddy, Max Creamer; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 18 at Solid Rock Fellowship Church at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery.
