Mary Louise Simmons of Farmington passed away on June 8, 2006 at Des Peres Hospital at the age of 83 years. She was born on October 1, 1922, in East St. Louis, the daughter of the late William Norman and Ida (Charlton) Price. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Simmons. Mrs. Simmons started The Will Simmons CMI Scholarship fund to make it possible for children to attend the Salvation Army Central Music Institute. She is survived by three sons, Clay Simmons and wife, Pat of Farmington, Kermit Simmons and wife Renee of St. Charles and Stuart Simmons and wife Mary of St. Peters, three daughters, Joyce (Mrs. Larry) Moss of Morse Mill, MO, Nancy (Mrs. Jim) Faulkner of Doe Run and Laura (Mrs. Mark) Goodson of St. John, MO, eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2006. Visitation will resume at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday. A funeral service will be held at the Cozean Chapel on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Genevieve Baptist Church Cemetery.
