FARMINGTON-Mary Maxine Bieser, of Farmington was Baptized into the Hope of Christ's Resurrection on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the age of 87 years. She was born August 8, 1924 at Farmington, the daughter of the late Leo N. and Genevieve H. (Valle) Bieser. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Bennett, and Leora Horton, a niece Jane Garver, and a nephew Bobby Horton. Maxine moved to Farmington from Bonne Terre with her mother in 1955. She was employed by the Trimfoot Shoe Company from where she retired. She was a long-time and faithful member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington, where she was active in the Women of Mary, and various church activities, particularly she will be remembered as a greeter at the Parish fish fries, taking dinner tickets and handing out plates at the church picnic and her faithful attendance at Mass and Thursday Adoration. She also volunteered at the Farmington Oaks (Senior Center) for over 25 years. She enjoyed collecting souvenir memento boxes, and earlier in life she often traveled and enjoyed visiting family. Maxine will be missed by all those who knew and loved her, including a brother Leo A. Bieser of Kirkwood, a nephew John Bieser of St. Louis, seven nieces, Anne Bieser of St. Louis, Jill Lynch of Scottsdale, AZ, Jean Hildebrand of Pacific, Mary Davies of Kirkwood, Vallerie Steenson of San Luis Obispo, CA, Kathy Gray of Traverse City, MI, and Cyndy McNally of Denver, CO, special friends, Irene Eck, Marie Herman, Jo Rustemeyer, and Al Turley, all of Farmington, and numerous other friends and neighbors. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. Parish Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday June 30, at 7 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington, with Father Rickey Valleroy as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at Bonne Terre. Memorials may be made for Masses, or to St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington.
