Mary Lou Thomure

Mary Lou Thomure of Farmington passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at her residence at the age of 70 years. She was born on January 18, 1938, at Mine La Mott, the daughter of the late George and Opal (Mabry) Ratcliff. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Ruby and Dorothy, and brothers, Alfred, Paul Ray, Lenard, Chuck, Leroy, John, Firman and Melvin. Mrs. Thomure was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. She loved being outdoors, watching the birds and working in her flower garden. She also enjoyed going to Wal-Mart and stopping by Steak n Shake for a steakburger. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, William Bill T. Thomure, son, William Alan (Christy) of Farmington, daughters, Dana (Dooley) of Park Hills, Mary (Tom) of Farmington, Mindi (Scott) of Doe Run and Paula (Bryon) of Park Hills, brother, Harry Bud Ratcliff and very special sister-in-law, Jody Ratcliff of Farmington, sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. A graveside service will be held at New Calvary Cemetery in Farmington at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2008. Memorials may be given to the family or to the Relay for Life. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cozean Memorial Chapel.
