FARMINGTON -
Mary Lou Stewart, of Farmington, passed away February 19, 2016 at Parkland Health Center at the age of 88. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Chester and Lucille (Thornton) Eaton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Jane Pratte, Judy Henderson and Joyce Eaton; one brother, Bernard Eaton and a nephew, Geoffrey Pratte.
Mary Lou who was known by many as "Mickey" was employed for more than 40 years with Union Electric from where she retired. She and her sisters were fondly known as the "golden girls". She never missed an event or activity where her nieces and nephews were involved. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and watching sports.
Survivors include a brother, Donald (Mina) Eaton of Sullivan; two nephews, Donald (Dawn) Eaton and Kenneth (Kay) Pratte all of Farmington; three nieces, Terri (Harry) Hull of Doe Run, Pamela Mueller of St. Louis and Melissa (Jeff) Schmidt of Olive Branch, MS; and five great nephews, Brian (Allison) Holcomb, Scott (Jayme) Hull, Colin and Connor Eaton and David Mueller; three great nieces, Shana (Chris) Turner, Ashley (Nick) Patton and Emily Schmidt; and six great great nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Friday, February 26 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. followed by a memorial service beginning at 2 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel. View the video tribute and share your memories and condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
