Mary Lou Lodholz

Mary Lou Lodholz of Farmington, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011, surrounded by her family at Presbyterian Manor at the age of 78 years. She was born July, 30, 1932, at Elvins, the daughter of the late Joseph and Essie Lucille (AuBuchon) Rodgers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister Annabelle Lee Rodgers and a brother Bobby Joe Rodgers Sr. Mary Lou was known for her outgoing personality, her warm smile, and her love of life. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was employed at various jobs in banking, education and retail over the years, but her primary focus was her family. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, tennis, swimming, gardening, and traveling. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington, and a former, long time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Bonne Terre, where she was active in the Daughters of Isabella, the church choir, parish council, and religious education programs. Mary Lou will be missed by all those who knew and loved her, including her husband of 59 years, Warren L. Lodholz of Farmington, four daughters, Lu Ann Lodholz of Magnolia, TX, Janie Tschida of Littleton, CO, Judy (Larry) Wallace of Highland Village, TX, and Sue (Gary) Ross of Desloge, a son John (Kris) Lodholz of Bonne Terre, grandchildren Christopher Homolac, Jonathan Tschida, Michael & Annie Wallace, Kyle (Autumn) Ross, Megan (D.J.) Morris, Elizabeth Anne & Katharine Menke, Jodi & Dale Stotler, great grandchildren Addison Ross and Jackson Morris and a sister Rose (Martin) Jenkins. Numerous other relatives, friends and neighbors also survive. Her family would like to extend a special thanks to Tina, Mandy, and John of the VITAS Hospice team, and her many caregivers at Presbyterian Manor.
