Mary Lou Chessey

DOE RUN Mary Lou Chessey, of Doe Run, Missouri, entered eternal rest on April 14, 2024, at the age of 87. She was born on October 20, 1936, in Granite City, Illinois, to Lloyd B. and Alice (Fleet) Parks. Mary Lou was united in marriage on November 9, 1957, in Hernando, Mississippi, to Richard A. Chessey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Chessey, and her parents. Mary Lou is survived by her children, Mary (Bruce Schneider) Chessey, Michael (Kathy) Chessey, Mark Chessey, Margaret (Jessica) Chessey, Martin Chessey, and Maureen Chessey. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren. Mary Lou found true joy in the company of her family and friends, creating cherished memories that will forever live in their hearts. She enjoyed horseback riding, working with ceramics, and raising poultry and exotic animals. A memorial service and inurnment at New Calvary Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date.
