Mary Helen Mcmullin

PARK HILLS- Mary Helen McMullin of Park Hills passed away July 8, 2014 at Jefferson Mercy Hospital at the age of 71 years. She was born June 10, 1943 in St. Louis, daughter of the late Howard and Creto Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Homer Smith, and Vernon Smith, a sister Margaret Hughes, and a half sister Alma Pyatt. Mary was a proud homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family and tending her flowers, but especially loved children. She was a loving wife and mother and a caring foster mother to numerous children over the years. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her including her husband Ernest McMullin, Sr. of Park Hills, a son Earnest (& Theresa) McMullin, Jr. of Park Hills, a daughter, Lisa (& Timmy) Davidson of Desloge, four grandchildren, Shawn Mesey of Desloge, Shelsie Mesey of Desloge, Ernest McMullin of Park Hills and Danielle McMullin of Park Hills, two great-grandchildren Shawn Mesey, Jr. and Emma Mesey, four sisters, Pauline Keith of Bismarck, Sadie Madry of Georgia, Rosetta Helm of Bonne Terre and Shirley Rose of Arnold. Numerous other relatives, friends, and neighbors also survive. Friends may call on Thursday, July10, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Visitation will resume on Friday after 7 a.m. and continue until the funeral service at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with the Reverend Sidney Laxton officiating. Interment will follow in the Bismarck Odd Fellows Cemetery. Memorials if desired, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
