PARK HILLS - Mary Ellen Jones passed away September 29, 2015 at the age of 67. She was born December 28, 1947 to the late John Edward Danieley and Geneva Mae (Maxson) Weise. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Danieley Case. Mary Ellen was a life long resident of the area having been active in community organizations and church activities. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she had worked as the Director of the St. Joseph Church School's after school program. She had been a long term member of the Park Hill's Library Board, a United Way volunteer and had served as a girl scout leader and cub scout leader. She and her husband were members of the Farmington Gold Wing Club where they were active in many fund raisers associated with that organization. Family was Mary Ellen's first priority. She always put others first and will be remembered for her unselfishness. She will be missed by those who loved her including her husband of 48 years, Ronnie James Jones; her children, Jerry Wayne Jones and wife, Alice, of Gainesville, FL; Timothy Lee Jones (Lietz) of Tipton, Missouri and Angie (Jones) Boyer and husband Keith of Springfield, Missouri; Kyu-Mok Stricklin, who was like her son, and wife, Sue of Maryland Heights, Missouri; grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth Jones, Chelsea Ann Jones, Shelby Elizabeth Boyer, Spencer Thomas Boyer and wife, Jennifer, Timothy Rion Lietz, Samuel Todd Lietz, Nicole Alexis Stricklin and Eric Andrew Stricklin; three great-grandchildren, Everlyn Lietz, Brendan Boyer and Calvin Boyer; a sister, Shirley Earll and husband, Terry of Forsythe, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 5 - 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday morning at 10 a.m. with Father Rickey Valleroy as Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School.
