Mary Beth Steinmetz

FARMINGTON - Mary Beth Steinmetz of Farmington passed away at her home on June 8, 2022 at the age of 59. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 25, 1963 to the late William Thomas Thomure and Mary Louise (Ratcliff) Thomure. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Zoey. Mary graduated from Farmington High School in 1981. She was a pharmacy technician for a number of years and also worked at U. S. Tool Corporation in Farmington. Crocheting was her favorite pastime and over the years she made many crocheted items for family and friends. She also was a photographer and truly enjoyed snapping photos of wild birds. Mary was a person who was a woman of habit, free spirited and genuinely enjoyed helping others. She found solace in drinking her morning coffee, going fishing and last but not least spending every moment she could with her beloved grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Cody (Heather) Steinmetz of Park Hills, Cori Beth Steinmetz of St. Louis and Coltn Steinmetz of Farmington; grandchildren, Brayden, Bailey, Adelynn, Lenni, Josie and Ethan; her siblings, William (Christy) Thomure, Dana (Thomas) Nausley, Paula Chadwell, Melinda Thomure and Diane Shirley; special friends, Tammy Walker, Roberta Price, Robin Downs, Rose Bloom, Kathy McNail, Toni Marks and Tracy Gonz. Also surviving is her canine companion, Abby. There will be a memorial service on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 4 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel.
