Mary Ann Salsman

FARMINGTON Mary Ann (nee Creely) Salsman, of Farmington, passed away on July 23, 2021, at Parkland Health Center at the age of 82 following years of battling dementia. Mary Ann was born in St. Louis, MO on October 12, 1938, to Robert Demitt Creely and Cecilia Peters Creely. In addition to her parents, she will be joining those that have passed before her: her husband, William Edward Salsman, her daughter, Eleanor Salsman Jehne, her granddaughter, Heather Martin, and her sister, Frances Creely Call. While we will all miss her, what a joyous reunion this will be for her. Mary Ann graduated from Maplewood Richmond Heights in 1956. On August 3, 1958, she married William Edward Salsman. Mary Ann held many jobs including secretary for the Girl Scouts of America and many nursing homes alongside her sister. She enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader for her girls and den mother for the Cub Scouts for her son. Mary Ann was strong in her faith of God and was a proud member of the Church of God of Knob Lick for over 25 years. Mary Ann is survived by her children, Karen (Gary) Salsman Martin and Edward (Cherry Reynolds) Thomas Salsman, her grandchildren, Gary Martin II, Rhonda DeClue, Michael Martin, Amy McLure, Christy Jehne, John Jehne, and Joshua Salsman, her great grandchildren, Jessica Griffs, Logan McDonald, Savannah Martin, Brayden Martin, Bethany Martin, Taylor Wilson, Kayla Hanks, Steven Hanks, Wesley Martin, Madison Martin, and Jaxon McClure, seven great great grandchildren, her brother, Ernest Monken, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of friends. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, from 5:00-8:00pm at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume on Wednesday at 7:00am until time of service at 10:00am in the Cozean Chapel with Pastor Donn Adamson officiating. Interment to follow at Knob Lick Cemetery.
