Mary Ann Emily

FARMINGTON Mary Ann Emily, of Farmington, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the age of 71. She was born May 26, 1945 in Mineral Point to the late Fred Valley and Edna (Quillman) Valley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, Johnny Valley, Carl Curtis Valley, Mackie Valley, Lena Womble, Charlotte Henry and Viola Callahan.

After growing up in Mineral Point she married the love of her life, Herbert Emily. Herbert was career military serving in the Army which took them all over the world for twenty years. After Herbert's retirement they settled back into the Mineral area. Mary was the ultimate homemaker whose passion was her family, not to mention her grandkids, whom she adored. She enjoyed her rose gardens and stopping at garage sales.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Herbert; three children, Peggy Sue (Scott) Quinton, Gary Dale (Betty) Emily and Lisa Marie (Darin) Johnson; seven grandchildren, Katie Forsythe, Becky Forsythe, Kyle Forsythe, Sara Curtright, Amanda Johnson, Casaundra Johnson and Amber Marie Emily; and seven great-grandchildren, Owen, Belle, Ashton, Isaac, Abby, Ellie, and Emmett. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Friends and family may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service beginning at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel.
