FARMINGTON- Marvin Junior Clubb passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Parkland Health Center, at the age of 81 years. He was born on August 4, 1930, at Greenville, son of the late Mary (Swan) and Jesse M. Clubb. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Lester, Vernon, Wesley and Eugene Clubb, and three sisters, Agnes Cook, Virginia Rehkop and Freda Adams. Marvin was a faithful member of the Calvary Temple of Fredericktown. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Korean War. Before retirement he worked for General Motors in St. Louis. Marvin retired in 1985 and he and his wife Thelma moved to Farmington where he enjoyed fishing, camping, carpentry projects and visiting with friends and family. Many will remember him as a person who enjoyed tinkering. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him and that includes his wife of 60 years, Thelma (Tennison) Clubb, four children, Sheila (Mrs. Don) Walters of St. Clair, Steve Clubb and wife Gail of Pacific, Tim Clubb and wife Sheryl of Eureka, and Melinda Haywood of Ste. Genevieve, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a sister, Pauline (Mrs. Allen) Hicks of Silva. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends, and his church family. The family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1. Visitation will resume on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Calvary Temple in Fredericktown. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Carl Cureton officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Silva, MO.
