Martha Darrough

FARMINGTON- The angels came and lifted Martha Marie Darrough up in their arms on October 15, 2015 into the beautiful blue heavens. She was born November 4, 1938 on Potosi Street in Farmington to the late Stanley W. Conrad and Wilma (Korber) (Conrad) Ervin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Kimberly Darlene Darrough. A life long resident of Farmington, Martha worked for twenty seven years for Biltwell and Thorngate from where she retired on January 5, 1999. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren; and working in her yard and flower gardens. Spending time with her retired friends was also one of her favorite pastimes. An avid Cardinal Baseball fan, she liked both watching and attending games. Martha was a member of the Farmington Chapter OES, Order of Eastern Star #430 and was past Worthy Matron in 2002. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW post #5896. She was also a member of New Heights Church. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her including her husband of 46 years, Bobby Ray Darrough; her children, Donna (Bud) Norman and Ray (Andrea) Moore; one step-son, Steven (Donna) Darrough; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; her sister, Josephine "Jody" Ratcliff; numerous nieces and nephews; and a very special aunt, Lucy Korber. Friends may call on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 - 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Rev. Rocky Good officiating. Interment will follow at Knights of Pythis Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to New Heights Church.
